If there is one thing that I have always wanted to do, it is to drive across America, and when I was idly searching for American flights recently, my eyes nearly popped out of my skull when I saw how cheap some of the flight deals were! It made me really start to think about the possibility of doing a trip like that and I started to investigate all of the other things that would be needed to road trip across America.
I soon came across a couple of companies which offered car hire, and I actually found a company which offered for rent real Cadillacs! If you’re going to do something like this you might as well do it properly, and do it in style! The prices for hiring these cars wasn’t exactly cheap, but a bit of research told me that the price of petrol in the States was unbelievably cheap in comparison to the UK. We would be able to cover twice the amount of ground that I had expected, and suddenly this trip was starting to seen quite achievable!
I also discovered that the cost of living in America is nothing compared to England Either. I sometimes think I should just go the whole hog and move away from this country altogether! Obviously I needed to take one step at a time, so I booked our flight tickets! I knew by doing this I was completely committing to travelling through the States, and I knew that we would have the time of our lives!
